Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sabah has appointed a three-man seat negotiation team for the party's strategy to continue the process of seat
negotiations within Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Sabah coalition parties namely
PAS and DAP.
They are Ansari Abdullah as the team leader, Datuk Kong Hong Ming and Jonathan Yasin.
"They will report back to the PKR State leadership on proposals put
forward and will get a mandate from the state leadership team before
moving on the next level of negotiations" said Dr. Roland Chia, who is also PKR Sabah Secretary and Supreme Council Member.
This would mean the said seat negotiations only within Pakatan Rakyat, and would leave the other Sabah opposition (coalition) parties namely SAPP, STAR, Usno Baru or UBA coalition out in the equation.
Meanwhile PKR Sabah Chairman Ahmad Thamrin Jaini, said the party
welcomed all political parties in Sabah to join PR as a common platform
to fight against Umno/BN and the door is always open for mutual
cooperation for the sake of Sabahans.
