Lajim potrays 'he is up for sale' impression -Sabah DAP Advisor

Sabahkini
Sabah DAP advisor, Hiew King Cheu told Oriental Daily News that the duo should have resigned from BN if they are really against the coalition.

He pointed out that Lajim still has Umno membership, obviously while waiting for Umno president and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to sack him.

“But his action may give the negative impression that he is up for sale,” Hiew was quoted as saying.

If the duo are sincere, he said, they should draw a clear line between themselves and the BN by giving up all party and government posts, and joining Pakatan.

Lajim failed to politicise situation, received revocation instead of termination.

Lajim Ukim
Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin has declined to comment on revocation of his appointment as Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government effective immediately.

"I have no comments for the time being and will issue a statement at a suitable time," he said in a brief statement here today.

The Prime Minister's Office statement today said that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah has consented to the revocation of his appointment.

It was made under Clause (3) Article 43A read together with Clause (5) Article 43 of the Federal Constitution.

On Saturday, Lajim quit as Umno Supreme Council member and Beaufort division Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman with immediate effect.

The Sabah veteran politician who also quit as Beaufort Umno division chief however remained a member of Umno.

Meanwhile, Sabah BN secretary Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said the revocation of Lajim's appointment as deputy minister was timely.

"The Yang di-Pertuan Agong acted correctly. Now the prime minister has to study the scenario and decide to leave the post vacant or fill it."

Abdul Rahman who is Member of Parliament for Kota Belud said Lajim should not criticise Umno but still remain a party member.

Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) information chief Datuk Johnny Mositun said it is the prerogative of the prime minister to appoint or revoke the appointment.

Anwar masih gagal rayu bekas MP BN Sabah

Lajim Ukin

Anwar tatap buru Raja Katak

DSP Lajim

Anwar menunggu kedatangan DSP Lajim, manakala DSP Lajim pula menunggu kedatangan Anwar.

'1215' Debate: Revelation of the Dark Side of the Sabah Opposition

The 1215 Campaign is a project initiated by NGO Desah to encourage a clear 'one to one fight' against the BN candidates in all Parliament and State seats.

A recent debate organised by NGO Desah on whether a state or national party is the solution to solving Sabah's problems saw Star (State Reform Party) being asked as to who gave its Sabah chapter President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan the right to claim to represent Borneo through his Borneo Agenda.

This is in account of Borneo being vast and including Kalimantan and Brunei.
Moderated by Dr Arnold Puyok of UiTM, some 200 mostly supporters of the two parties thronged the Tamparuli Recreation Club for the debate between Pajudin Nordin of PKR and Edward Linggu of Star.

Beware! colourful frogs are poisonous: Tawfiq

Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan has described as a lame excuse Datuk Jeffrey’s Kitingan’s assertion that he was seeking solutions for Sabah when he decided to hop from one party to the next six times.

He said Jeffrey’s explanation for party hopping does not hold water. He said Jeffrey also needed to get his historical facts right.

“Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj Aman did not jump from Usno to Umno as claimed by Jeffrey,” he said.

He said that during a special Usno Assembly in 1991, all Usno branches and divisions made a unanimous decision to join Umno en bloc.

DAP agree on political frogging.. but with condition

DAP Sabah advisor Dr Hiew King Cheu who is also MP for Kota Kinabalu said that politicians had the right to change party in pursuit of their political agenda but should not do it before finishing their terms as it would mean betraying the responsibility entrusted to them by the voters.

“For me personally, I think one has to look at the overall scenario when justifying or criticising someone who jumps party,” he said yesterday.

“When the people vote for you, they give you their trust and when you suddenly jump but at the same time still holding the seat given to you by the people, that is not right.

“If you have already finished your term and then decide that you should change your political platform for any reason, then it is up to you,” he said, when asked to comment on the remark by State Reform Party (Star) Sabah chairman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

"We are all frogs" - Dr JK

Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, said all Sabah politicians are "frogs" and not just him, if party-hopping is what the term means.

"We are all frogs but I have been changing parties in order to look for solutions for Sabah and not for my own interest," he claimed, at the Star Bingkor launch, Sunday.

He said almost all Sabah politicians had one way or another changed political parties in their career and claimed that this included Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and his brother Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

He noted that Musa left Usno for Umno while Pairin left Berjaya and Pasok to start Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

Generally, he said if the politicians stopped hopping, it is because they got positions and comforts for themselves, some even sacrificing their struggle for the rakyat.

He said these selfish leaders would stick with the current ruling Umno as long as the party is in government or as long as they have their own position, but they would jump to other parties if Umno is no longer ruling.

"They are actually 'fat frogs' now, so they don't jump anymore..." he said explaining his party-hopping, which he claimed had been used to discredit him for a long time.

He also defended his party-jumping as merely seeking ways to resolve perennial problems in Sabah which he claimed the ruling leaders failed to resolve.

PR-STAR-SAPP Seats deal.. A fairy Tale Composition?

The opposition parties in Sabah can never get along particularly to strike one-on-one deals for them to face the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 13th General Election, said United Pasok Momogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) Treasurer-General Datuk Dr Marcus Makin Mojigoh.

He said his view was not because of him being a BN representative but it was from an analytical perspective.

"The opposition parties can never get along but why should they?

As Star Sabah chief, Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said it is a democratic world, you have no right to stop anybody to contest especially when some outsiders try to stop them from contesting.

DAP offer politically motivated invitation to Lajim

DAP Tanjung Aru chief Datuk David Chong Ket Sui has extended an invitation to Beaufort MP Datuk Lajim Ukin to join him in DAP or other Pakatan Rakyat components.

"I sincerely invite Lajim to join DAP. Our door is open for him or he can also join other Pakatan Rakyat parties, especially Parti Keadilan Rakyat, and join hands with his brother in Beaufort," he said.

Perhaps Lajim could set up the DAP Beaufort division to continue his struggle for the people there, said Chong commenting on a report that Lajim had announced his resignation as the chief for the Kerambai Kebatu Umno branch during his 57th birthday celebration at his residence in Beaufort during the weekend.

It was also reported that Lajim who is also Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister had recently announced that he would not be defending the Umno Beaufort chief post and, instead, hand it over to his deputy Isnin Aliasnih.

Dare to fail.. Oops! I did it Again

Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, a Harvard graduate, who has changed political parties a number of times in the past two decades - being a former member of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), Parti Angkatan Keadilan Rakyat (Akar Bersatu) and United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko), and now The State Reform Party's (STAR) Sabah Chairman expressed his attention to contest in the Keningau parliamentary constituency in the coming general election.

I will let you know when it happens: Bumburing

Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Datuk Seri Wilfred Mojilip Bumburing did not defect as widely speculated yesterday but Sabah’s rumour mills still turn as PKR leaders continue to exude confidence over their prediction of an imminent shift in the state’s political landscape.

Even the Tuaran MP added to the speculation last night by playing coy when questioned by The Malaysian Insider on the matter, saying: “Nothing happened now, I will let you know when it happens.”
“I have to be careful with what I say in front of reporters,” he added, laughing.
Bumburing is puzzled as to why the national media is suddenly focusing on his supposed defection to the opposition.

STAR firm on its stand to contest in all seats

Dr. Jeffrey and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim
Star Sabah branch Chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan reiterated that if they could not find a solution where Pakatan Rakyat should stay away from contesting in Sabah and Sarawak, then Star would have no choice but to go for its next plan and contest in all the seats in Sabah.

He said Star had no intention of joining the opposition Pakatan Rakyat alliance although it (Star) wants to sit down and discuss seat distribution among the opposition in Sabah.

"Until now there is still no discussion with PR or other opposition parties.

Our intention is for Star to be at the same level with Pakatan and Barisan Nasional as the third team competing in the election," he said.

Beware Of The 'Secede' Word

Secede means to withdraw formally from an alliance, federation, or association, as from a political union, etc. In Latin sēcēdere means to withdraw.

It is a heavy word to be accepted when it is put in Malaysian Agreement 1963 context but what if.. what if the word is simply said without thinking over its unimaginably disastrous consequence towards current political scenario especially in Sabah or Sarawak?

Maybe the attention is to bring forward the idea for everybody to beware of the future outcome i.e., that there could be a silent movement to bring Sabah or Sarawak out of Malaysia by spreading the idea softly through the free media?

For Sabah to pull out from Malaysia is something out of this world. One must know how to differentiate between 'local struggle for better livelihood' and 'evil struggle to destroy their future'. But this 'Supahiro' simply did something that might spark fire of hatred among each other that would certainly jeopardize nationhood harmony and unity. What ever the purpose it may be, just keep your 'pantatstic' idea to yourself!

You ask your reader to look at Singapore, and if Caesar said 'Veni' 'Vidi' 'Vici' which means I came.. I saw.. I Conquered.., for Singapore I said: I came.. I saw.. I'm blessed (for being Malaysian who stays in Sabah).. LOL.

A pity Singaporean think his country is a bad place to stay. He suggested his fellow Singaporean to leave the country for good if eventuality permits. Do you want to know what the Singaporean think of his country, you might want to read this.

Dr. Jeffrey Is Trying To Neutralize DESAH?

Some concerned citizens have been reported formed an ad-hoc committee which operates under the name of ‘Demokrasi Sabah’ (DESAH) who serve in the committee on a voluntary basis to promote good democratic values such as representative government, clean, free and fair elections and the establishment of a 2-party system which is not based on racial and religious factors/grounds.

The objectives, targets, programs and the operational structure have been clearly and positively outlined. Here..

But what concerns the public at large was when STAR announced its support on DESAH's formation.

Its Chairman, Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, in a statement here today said STAR also supported the formulae proposed by DESAH to identify which political party and possible candidates are most suitable to stand in which seats.

Mind boggling when Dr. Jeffrey added that true democracy is also about giving the people the right and freedom to choose in multi-party system, and not necessarily confined to two party system, or worse like in few dictator-ruled countries, only one very dominant party. Here..

One normal learned individual would certainly confuse on the support given to the new 'would be formed' Desah but contradict on the basic purpose of its formation.

What is the real motive of Dr Jeffrey this time? Is Dr. Jeffrey trying to swallow DESAH and neutralize the establishment? Or is he looking forward to be nominated as the Chairman of DESAH?

Radin describe Jeffrey as the stone which gathers no moss

“He is just like chasing after his own shadow which he can’t catch because the more he chases, the shadow goes further and further,” Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Vice President, Datuk Radin Malleh describing on STAR Sabah Chairman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

“But until the BN government was formed in Sabah in April 1994, his PBDS was not approved by Mahathir. So he joined AKAR, then PBRS, and he created problems there resulting in him being sacked by the respective parties.

“When he rejoined PBS, Jeffrey contested against his former lawyer friend Yunuf Maringking for the vice presidency but lost miserably. Then he jumped ship to Umno but his membership application was rejected. He tried his luck in PKR but still to no avail,” Radin claimed.

Now Jeffrey is in STAR, a party from Sarawak and if based on his political history of which he changed parties not more than seven times, then it is true that Jeffrey is only running for the Chief Minister’s post, Radin said.

Radin was continuing on his remark by also responding on the authenticity of STAR Sabah chairman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan’s claim that he was offered to be the Sabah Chief Minister in 1994.

“Because if it is true then his brainchild party namely Parti Demokratik Sabah Bersatu (PBDS) should have been registered by Mahathir who also happened to be the Home Minister,” he said.

The Melalap assemblyman in a statement yesterday said that it was doubtful Jeffrey was offered the Chief Minister post in 1994 by the then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

PKR CRIPPLED IN KENINGAU?

MELVIN JAIKUL, the elected deputy head of PKR for Keningau division said that Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has lost its command and respect in the Interior of Sabah.

According to him, The Malaya-based party is already crippled as more than 2,000 members have since quit it join another party.

He himself has quit together with the majority of the elected divisional committee members.

Among those who have also quit were the division vice head Daniel Palangi and its Information Chief, Salim Nair.

Others in the divisional line-up who have also quit are Fred Aliun, Dominic Liew, Adrian Mikin and Alex Amik to mention a few.

The divisional youth wing, all but one, had also left PKR. Likewise in the Women wing, many have left too, joining more than 2,000 PKR members seeking shelter elsewhere.

He appeal to the people not to believe certain groups in PKR who kept mentioning that they are intake as if the members are still in it. The members have totally lost confidence in the Malayan party and that is why 2,000 members have quit.

There will be more who will leave PKR both in Keningau and in other divisions too. In the very near future there will be an exodus from PKR Putatan as well.
