Dr Mahathir said the people should be careful of opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as he was regarded as the choice leader by the United States of America.

“Since the time I was prime minister, he has been regarded by the US as the Malaysian PM and he himself had invited US congressmen here,” he said, adding that there were also foreign funds coming in, in pursuit of their agenda.

“I know that several NGOs (non-governmental organizations) in this country also receive funding from certain bodies in the US and other countries. They give money to assist to achieve their agenda, not ours.

“This happens since during my time and these NGOs have been made used off I also believe that certain political parties also receive such funding,” he said.

He advised the people to be very careful and to choose leaders who could prevent the country from being controlled and colonised again.

Opposition has no chance in GE13, says Dr. M

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad professed that the opposition group comprising PAS, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and DAP is not confident of winning the coming general election, and has therefore taken various actions to topple the ruling government.

He said since the country’s independence 55 years ago, the opposition had never won the general election and that was why they had done all kinds of things to topple the Barisan Nasional (BN)-led federal government.

“If they lose again this time, they are prepared to create chaos through protest demonstrations and making claims that the ruling government cheats to enable BN to win. This is their approach now,” he said after a discourse between Dr Mahathir the statesman and federal government officers serving in Kedah, in Alor Star recently.

Dr Mahathir was confident that the present government was strong enough and capable of maintaining peace.

 “Bai’ah means to pledging loyalty to a leader. As a mere mortal, a leader can do wrong….we found many PAS leaders did wrong in terms of religion,”  Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said.

He said a Muslim must submit to God and acknowledge Prophet Muhammad as the Messenger of Allah.

“There is no need for “bai’ah”... he (Hadi) is not even a prophet, so what is the bai’ah for?” Dr. Mahathir told reporters after delivering a lecture entitled “Mental Transformation for Young Researchers” hosted by Universiti Teknologi Mara’s Faculty of Applied Sciences Postgraduate Association here yesterday.

PR strategy not to dissolve state assemblies in four states

"[...] If all the state legislative assemblies in the four states under the PR are not dissolved, we will see the election being confined only to the states under BN rule." said former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said this could be one of the strategies of the opposition pact to focus its attention and strength to the states under Barisan Nasional (BN) rule.

“As such, they (PR) already have four states under their rule. They will concentrate on the other states to expand their domination." he added.

“However, if the general election is held too close to the expiry of the five-year mandate, they (PR) will have no choice (but to dissolve the state assemblies),” he proposed on the best option for the government to respond.

Dr Mahathir said the BN government did not have to be hasty in holding the general election because the current mandate only expired in March 2013.

“We still have time." he said

“Preparations need to be made before the general election. We need to carry out tests and research to find out public opinion on the efforts made by the government." he stressed.

“The people will wait. The promises made probably will not be fulfilled. If they don’t walk the talk, it’s difficult. So, better walk the talk,” he said.

A decade to take to openly realize that the American government carried out the attack despite countless official and non-governmental inquiries, media reporting, and often common sense, is another scariest thing to ponder.

It was reported on the same article stating that US government didn't actually blow up its citizens, but knew full well the attacks were coming, but then did nothing to stop them, is another thing to ponder which is not less scary as well.

Dr. Mahathir berkata, masyarakat Islam sendiri perlu mengambil berat terhadap golongan yang memerlukan bantuan bagi mengelak kemungkinan akidah mereka terpesong.

"Kalau tak ambil berat dan mereka menderita, mungkin mereka akan tertarik dengan orang yang menawarkan bantuan kepada mereka,” katanya.
